Donkey

Equus asinus

Donkeys have large ears, short, stiff manes on their necks, small feet with sharp hooves and short tails ending in a brush. Donkeys come in different colours and sizes. They can have a white or black muzzle, a white or grey belly and can have striped or plain legs.

They like to eat grass, but they will also eat shrubs and dry vegetation.

Conservation

The Donkey is a domesticated species that exists in great numbers and is not threatened.
