Sharjah Safari welcomed its first baby Scimitar-horned oryx in the 2nd week of November 2022. Classified as Extinct in the Wild by the IUCN Red List Authority captive breeding programs are playing a crucial role in preserving this species and support reintroduction programs in their former range.
